The principal function of the Electrical Rewind Shop is to repair and rewind Electric Motors, including Generator Alternators, Transformers and Coils.

Oiltech's Electrical Rewind Shop's capability for motor repairs, both A.C/D.C. includes all types of Single Phase Motors, most Submersible Motors and Three Phase Motors up to 4160V - 5000HP.
The Rewind Shop is well set up with modem machinery and equipment and includes Burn-Off and Baking Ovens, Tig/Mig Welding Units, Hydraulic Bearing Pullers, Coil Cutters, Coil Spreaders, Winding Machines, Banding Units, Wire Tensioners, Load Bank Test Unit, Core Loss Test Centre, Dinamometer, etc.

A Computerised Dynamic Balancing Machine has been installed enabling trained Oiltech staff to undertake Balancing work on such items as Shafts, Centrifugal Pumps, Rotors, Armatures, Impellers, etc up to a maximum capacity of 5000LBS.

A range of sophisticated measuring and test equipment, much of which can be used by Oiltech personnel in the field, includes a Portable Laser Alignment Unit, a Vibration Analyser Unit, Digital Multi-Testers, Digital Tachometers, Ground Resistance Tester, Ammeter Recorder, Bar to Bar Tester, Transformer Ohmmeter, etc.

All the work is fully supervised by highly qualified expatriate staff, supported by a well-trained indigenous engineering work force. Oil tech's Electrical Rewind work is covered by warranty.
