The Mechanical Workshop,
complete with a 15 Tonne Capacity Overhead Gantry Crane,
with a 5 Tonne Auxiliary Hoist, is spacious and well laid
out.
The workforce in this department, both expatriate and
indigenous Engineering Staff, with excellent sets of
specialist tooling and instrumentation at their disposal,
are committed to maintaining a very high degree of
reliability and quality in their work, both in the Workshop
and out "On Site",
Most of the work handled is related to the maintenance and
repair of Generators, Compressors, Pumps, and Valves, with
particular importance on the Prime Movers. Oiltech places
special emphasis on Caterpillar Units but can also overhaul
and service other units such as Deutz, Cummins, Ford,
Dorman, etc.
With the Electrical Rewind Shop facility "In House"
customers can have their Generators completely serviced by
one company - the Prime Mover Overhaul is handled in the
Mechanical Workshop while the Alternator goes into the
Rewind Shop for repair. The Generator Set is then tested
under full load with our Electronic Load Bank Tester. |
